Create payment QR codes for Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, and BHIM
Leave empty to let the payer enter the amount
Enter your UPI ID and payee name to generate a QR code
UPI (Unified Payments Interface) QR codes encode a standard deep link in the format:
When you scan this QR code with any UPI-compatible app (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM, etc.), the app pre-fills the payment details. If an amount is specified, the payer only needs to confirm. If no amount is set, the payer enters the amount themselves — ideal for shops and general-purpose QR stickers.
All processing happens on your device. Your UPI ID and payment details are never sent to our servers.
The UPI QR Generator builds a scannable payment QR code from a UPI ID (VPA) so anyone can pay you with Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM, or any other UPI-compliant app in India. You enter your VPA (like yourname@okhdfcbank or 9876543210@ybl), your payee name, and optionally a fixed amount and transaction note, and the tool encodes it into the standard upi:// deep-link that UPI apps recognize.
It is used by freelancers, small shops, event organizers, NGOs, and content creators who want a printable or shareable QR for collecting one-time or recurring payments without a payment gateway. Because the QR follows the NPCI UPI URI specification, a single code works across every UPI app rather than being locked to one provider.
The QR image simply stores a UPI deep-link string defined by NPCI. A typical link looks like: upi://pay?pa=priya@oksbi&pn=Priya%20Stores&am=250.00&cu=INR&tn=Invoice123. Here 'pa' is the payee address (your VPA), 'pn' is the payee name, 'am' is the amount, 'cu' is the currency (always INR for domestic UPI), and 'tn' is an optional transaction note. Fields you leave empty are simply omitted from the string.
When a payer opens their camera or UPI app and scans the code, the app decodes this string, pre-fills the recipient and amount, and prompts the payer to authenticate with their UPI PIN. The money moves directly bank-to-bank over the UPI rails, so there is no intermediary account or settlement delay for you.
Two important notes: if you set the 'am' field, most apps lock the amount so the payer cannot change it, which is useful for fixed-price items but not for tips or donations. Also, the tool does not add a signed 'sign' parameter, so this is a personal/P2P style QR rather than a verified merchant QR issued by a bank or aggregator; it works everywhere but will not carry a merchant category code.
Yes, it is completely free with no sign-up. The QR is generated entirely in your browser from the values you type, and your UPI ID and details are not sent to or stored on any server.
Any UPI-compliant app in India, including Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM, Amazon Pay, and most banking apps. The code uses the standard NPCI upi:// URI, so it is not tied to a single provider.
A VPA (Virtual Payment Address) or UPI ID is your handle like yourname@okhdfcbank or a mobile-number handle like 9876543210@ybl. You can find it inside your UPI app under your profile or payment settings.
Set an amount for fixed-price sales or invoices so the payer cannot change it. Leave it blank for tips, donations, or variable bills so the payer enters the amount themselves.
Yes, for small-scale collections it works well. However it is a personal-style QR without a bank-signed merchant tag, so if you need a verified merchant QR with a merchant category code, request one from your bank or a payment aggregator.
This tool charges nothing. UPI P2P transfers are generally free; any fees depend on your bank and NPCI rules, not on this generator.
Some apps ignore or re-verify the 'pn' name against the actual bank record, and a few may not lock the amount. Always test-scan with your own app to confirm how the fields appear before sharing widely.
